Life span: 20-30 years
Physical features: they have long narrow snouts, their color can be pink, black, blue, brown, or gray and, they have big heads
Diet: fish, shrimp, turtles, piranhas, crabs and clams
Habitat: freshwater rivers in Asia and south Asia
Threats: loss of habitat do to the creation of dams and irrigation projects, fishing nets, and boat propellers chopping them up
Statistics: In 2012, the Ganges River Dolphins sighted were about 260. That is pretty good concidering some of the other river dolphins sightings in 2012. For example, the Geruwa dolphin, which was about 40. Also, the amount of Rapti dolphin sightings then was only about 8!
