Kea
Scientific Name: Nestor Notabilis
Size: Length 46 cm weight 90-1100 grams
Diet: Fruit, shoots, leaves, seeds, and nectar
Lifespan: Up to 50 years old
Physical features: Mostly olive-green with a gray beak and yellow claws. However, a glimpse of their gorgeous wings is a sight to behold.
Behavior: Keas are famous for being extremely mischievous, and having the smarts of a two-year-old child. Cases of Kea include going into cars through open windows and tearing apart the seats, tearing off car antennae, and once locking a man in a toilet.
Habitat: The coastal forests of New Zealand
Threats: Farmers bounty hunting keas to protect there sheep, and sometimes they will accidentally die in possum traps
