Statistics update: South China Tiger
Around 1950 there were roughly 4,000 left of this majestic beast. However, in the years following they were considered pests and hunted accordingly. The Chinese government made a law to prevent poaching, but there were only about 30-80 left when the action was carried out. Today, they are called by scientists 'functionally extinct', seeing as they have not been seen in the wild in 25 years.
Now that's just plain sad.
I know, right?
Totally.
Save the animals!
EXTINCT IS FOREVER!
